Solstice Ceremony Dec. 2014 #5

In this 75 minute minute talk I’ll be offering a perspective on  love as an evolutionary force, something that is calling us into radical new ways of caring for each other. I’ll explore the challenges that are facing us in our intimate relationships, in our friendships,  in our communities, and in our culture. We’ll see if we can get a sense of how we are being called to co-create a new culture, with a new set of perceptions and visions about what love is.

I’ll offer some practices that can open us up to our deeper resources, and shine light on the new possibilities that are waiting for us. One of these  possibilities is about learning to recognize and tend to the space between us, the shared presence that is here with us, whenever we are together. When we place our attention on this ‘we space,’ it becomes more and more vibrant and alive for us.  In our culture we have not been encouraged to pay much attention to the ‘we space,’ so we tend to get stuck and confined inside the ‘I’ space, as if that’s all there is.

I will also spend time exploring the connection between spiritual practice and psychological work, and how the two approaches can support each other.

And finally, I’ll shed some light on the connection between what is emerging in the field of our relationships and in the field of our global consciousness. How can the work that I do in the area of my personal relationships support what is happening on the planet? We will explore this together, and see what arises from our shared inquiry.
